I’m the University of Michigan student who asked U.S. Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed whether he stands unequivocally against Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. He didn’t answer directly, and the exchange went national. Since then I’ve been on Fox News, written for The Federalist, and narrated Mike Rogers’s statewide ad.

I’m Persian American, and I’m a Christian conservative, in that order.

My family was hunted in the streets of Iran. I love my people and my heritage, and the least I can do is speak up for those who can’t speak up for themselves. In September 2026 that meant standing up at a town hall on campus and asking Abdul El-Sayed, who is running for U.S. Senate in Michigan, whether he stands unequivocally against the IRGC.

Outside of school I raise money for Iranian orphans and for Blood Cancer United. When I get the chance, I’m playing squash or diving.
